Capped at 10 participants per age division.

A waitlist will be generated once the cap is met. The first 2 on the waitlist from each division will be kept on standby as alternates. The first 5 on the waitlist from each division will be guaranteed a spot in the Spring 2025 combine.

coaching

Athletes are permitted to have 1 personal coach to help them through each event. If athletes don’t have a personal coach, and/or are not familiar with the events, host coaches will be available to offer guidance and instruction.

FORMAT

Athletes will only be competing against their gender and age group.

For each barbell lift, athletes will have 6 minutes to warm up, and then will be given 2 attempts to record their heaviest lift. These 2 attempts must be validated by a judge.

For the skills tests, athletes will be given 2 attempts to record their top movement. These 2 attempts must be validated by a judge.

heats

Heats will be divided by age group, are estimated to start at 8am, and will last approximately 2 hours.

Scoring

4 barbell movements will be scored by *Sinclair bodyweight formula.

Skills tests will be given a point value by placement in your age group.

Sinclair points plus skills points will be combined to determine overall placement.

Example - A 55kg male lifts 50kg, 60kg, 80kg, and 100kg for a total of 290kg on the barbell lifts. His *Sinclair total would be 476.77. The athlete placed 4th(out of 10) in the 5-10-5 for 7 points, and 2nd(out of 10) in the Vertical Jump for 9 points, receiving a total of 16 skills points.

476.77 Sinclair points + 16 skills points gives him a grand total of 492.77 points.

Barbell lifts will be measured in kilograms. Conversion charts will be available for those who normally lift using pounds.

Cancellations/refunds

We ask that anyone who needs to cancel please notify us as soon as possible to allow for athletes to be brought up from the waitlist. Refunds will only be given if a cancellation comes 7 days prior to the event.

*The Sinclair Calculator is a tool used in the sport of weightlifting to compare the performances of athletes of different body weights and determine a hypothetical "Sinclair Total." This Total is an adjusted measure of an athlete's performance, considering their body weight and the coefficient, and it provides a way to assess how an athlete's performance would theoretically compare to others if they were all in the same weight class. This allows for a fair comparison of athletes and helps identify the most outstanding lifters regardless of their body weight, fostering a fair and competitive environment in the sport.
